LouderLogic for iPhone app good for
This is simply the best app you can own for your music, and I am sure that Apple wishes they had developed this themselves. Not only does this do a beautiful job leveling your music volume, it does it in a way that is natural sounding and not artificial. It will make your songs sound fuller and richer, and you can leave your volume control as it is.
I wish there were a way to save files through this program so that when we listen to our songs on other devices such as an original iPod or MP3 player, we could enjoy the benefits of this program. I also wish we could adjust the size of the fonts of the music titles so we could see more of them on the screen. Still, this is a must-have app which I highly recommend.
This app really makes listening to digital files fun!
Jazz, classical music, all genres that come with a great dynamic range totally work with this app without sounding flat and limited. Even highly compressed songs (dance music, hip hop etc) sound better. This app just sounds great to the ear.
When you switch back to the regular iPod player you find that it should sound like this app. Thanks to the makers of this! Great job
A+++. And im an indie audio engineer who doesnt like added color!! This app is amazing the bypass button says it all.
WITH UPDATE IT CRASHES WHEN I GO TO TURN IT TO USE THE EQ.PLS FIX...OTHERWISE AWESOME!!
Does a great job of making all songs playback at the same volume. Nice crossfading (which Apple should already provide but dont).
Very good!
I want to support double-speed playback of a podcast.
Some bad moments
Save your money, I cant even hear the music. No sound comes out at all
looks dated and doesnt fit the screen...Lazy update, could be one of the best!
Edit: may 2016.
Have tried 3 times to on all mcdsp customer service formats to get this fixed, they have not replied at all. Terrible company.
There plugins are wack too! Dont buy or support them.
This App used to work great, now it takes five minutes to load your library every time you open, wont play half the songs anymore, and crashes most of the time. PLEASE FIX!!!
I have been searching sense I got my Ipod Touch 4th Gen in November of 2010 for an app that does, what this app does, which is, provides Volume leveling/Dynamic compression in real time. This app, does this very well. PLEASE NOTE! this app is truly a one of a kind! I have scowered the app store, and their is only one app that does this properly. In the title of the review, of course I said their was another app, that does this type of thing, and their is. The app Mytunes does a nice job of leveling in real time, BUT! their are to many bugs to allow the app to truly be useable. Making this app, the logical choice for realtime dynamic compression.
The good: The compression sounds great! not to punchy, no one EQ band takes over. The interface seams clean and uncluttered. You can choose betweeen playlist, artist, album, and more just like the stock Ipod music player. This app does not overdrain your battery or heat up your device. You can lock the screen and still listen to music.
The bad: From an accessibility standpoint, though the buttons within this app are ready by Voiceover, it seams that the apps audio is on the same channel as Voiceover. When Voiceover speaks, the apps audio drops out. Please fix this in a future update.
My wishlist: I would love to see crossfading incorporated into this apps interface. Let me stop right their, and tell you how you can get this right, and again, be above all of the other apps that claim to crossfade. Create the fading like it is in terestrial radio, as in, not any actual volume fading, in, or out, but have the incoming track come in a full volume, and the track that is ending, not, fade down. Their is no other app in the app store that does this type of fading, and this app, would continue to be ahead of the game.
In conclusion, this app has been very well thought out, and works very well! it does what it says it will do, and IT DOES IT GOOD! keep up the solid work and productivity!
Really makes the music come alive in the car or with headphones. Works seamlessly with the Ford Sync system as well - both Bluetooth and USB. It *does* have shuffle and repeat icons - look closely to find them, theyre a bit hard to see when grayed out. See the screen shot above.
One (very slight) drawback of the LouderLogic iPhone version Ive been using for past several days is that—unless Im missing something—it lacks gapless playback...not quite as jarring as a home stereo but theres a slight gap between tracks nonetheless...not good if listening to live shows. Otherwise, Im glad I found this app; sound quality and processing, and especially the iPhone volume override are big pluses.
